The Sentinel is pleased to announce it will host a Candidates’ Meet & Greet on December 9th at the Mosquito Fire Station beginning at 6:30 PM. Refreshments will be served. Come and meet the candidates for the 2023 SCPOA Board of Directors election in an informal and friendly setting. Ask the candidates where they stand on the issues affecting our community and property, and where our mandatory dues are being spent.
Use the Leave a Reply box below to pose your questions for the candidates. They will be available ahead of time for the candidate’s consideration. No log in is required.
All prospective candidates running for a position on the SCPOA board of directors are invited. They will have a few minutes to introduce themselves, and take a few questions from attendees. That will be followed by refreshments, and one-on-one conversations. A moderator will maintain order.
Click here for a short video Moderated by David Blain. It covers a brief overview of SCPOA, the board functions, a few of current issues and introduces the latest slate of candidates.
This is an important election because of all the unplanned expenses that dues-payers have incurred over the past two years, and the radical departure from normal spending patterns of all previous SCPOA boards. This is your chance to make your voices heard.
In upcoming weeks, the Sentinel will be presenting the alternative candidates and their ideas to enable members to have better control over how their dues money is spent: with RESPECT for the members, INTEGRITY in the decision-making process, and TRANSPARENCY in all financial matters affecting the membership.
Don’t forget, the SCPOA election will be held and votes will be counted at the Annual Membership meeting on February 25, 2023. You will be receiving your ballot sometime after December 1st, 2022. Please review the facts, and vote. Thank you – see you there.
